‘A Europe fit for the digital age’, one of the European Commission’s top priorities for 2019-24. In September 2020, The Digital Education Action Plan was adopted, calling for “greater cooperation at European level on digital education to address the challenges and opportunities of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to present opportunities for education and training…”.
We spoke to Simona Petkova, Policy Assistant, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC) to discuss the progress made since the Action Plan has been rolled out, supporting the development of digital citizenship and what she hopes can be achieved at the end of this Action Plan in 2027.
